Text in email from Jennifer Cambridge:
"De grafsteen van Debra Williams is vorige week geplaatst.
Er zijn foto's van de steen gemaakt.
De ouders van Debra willen alle mensen erg bedanken die een donatie hebben
gedaan. Ze zijn ontzettend blij met de steen!"

This monument surprised me ! It is located in the park in front of St. Georges cathedral.
Found this info on the net:
During the Conference of Foreign Ministers of Non-Aligned countries held in Guyana from August 8-11, 1972, a monument to the four founders of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM):
- President Nasser of Egypt
- President Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana
- Jawaharlal Nehru of India
- President Tito of Yugoslavia
was erected in this garden and was unveiled by the then President, Arthur Chung.

The Cenotaph is a memorial for the fallen in the World Wars. We didn't visit the National Library. The Guyana Stores is on the other side of this square.
The word 'cenotaph' means empty tomb. I first misspelled it 'cenetaph'. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cenotaph for more information.

One of the main streets of New Amsterdam. The tower is the cityhall building.
New Amsterdam is near the mouth of the Berbice river.
